The IT department is made up of Application, Infrastructure and Security specialists that cover a broad range of technologies. The helpdesk provides front line support to everyone in the firm.  

Our 5-week in person paid internship will equip you with professional skills and experience to increase your employability. For the duration of your internship, you will be working with the IT department and assigned to a buddy and supervisor to ensure you are fully supported. You will be fully immersed in department work while receiving formal training and mentoring, to empower you to get the most from the opportunity. The internship will provide opportunities to get involved in CSR activities, network with our people across the firm, and socialise with your fellow interns.

Responsibilities include:

  • Providing 1st level technical & system support to the business
  • Providing IT assistance to our 2nd and 3rd Level IT support team
  • Logging support tickets and monitoring SLAs using our helpdesk management system
  • Liaising with other Departments to carry out tasks, such as desk/office moves, training and offsite user support
  • Troubleshooting user issues and helping with their queries
    • Setting up PCs or Laptops for new Users
    • Providing Audio Visual support in the meeting room areas
    • Providing Audio and Video Conferencing Support
    • Providing general business application support (Document Management, Citrix, Email etc)
      • Fixing hardware issues with PCs, Laptops or Printers
      • Monitoring IT Environment using tools which provide real time reporting and dashboards
      • Participating in IT projects as and when required

Skills required:

  • Penultimate/final year student or recent graduate of an IT degree
  • Must be tech savvy' with good troubleshooting skills
  • Strong ability to work well under pressure
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to work efficiently
  • Excellent team skills with a willingness to learn new technologies
  • A degree of flexibility with regards to ad-hoc duties and working hours
  • Excellent communication & interpersonal skills
